this weeks question to all the haminners in this: what in your opinion is truth? is it a fact, something solid that does not change regardless of your outlook or is it something, some sort of value you assign as your own morality changes?

if you're expecting something deep from me....AAHAHAHAHAHAH

BUT er truth is a telling of events in the right way and it does not go away until you've said it so redemption or something ahah, Thankyou. Thankyou. Thankyou.

but surely this telling of events depends on your own point of view
and therefore is susceptible to bias, in the end, making it not-truth?

i cannot fathom a response, but i'll try the telling of events depends on your conciousness state but whether or not you choose the accept the fortelling of truth it is up to you.

the foretelling of truth, can this be? can you really call something truth if it hasnt even happened (presumably) yet? does the truth that will (or might) only become apparent later even qualify as truth? I'm afraid we're delving into time-travel here.

Since we are now official band of amateur philosophers, I feel a bit more secure posting something like this.

I think that is a conclusion that many solipsists actually arrive at. See Simulation hypothesis.

Well, lets attempt to deconstruct it in the following way.

Premise: That what thinks, is.
Premise: I can only confirm that I think.
Conclusion: I am the only thing that I can confirm exists.

We are speaking in terms of a general universal, so the subject is really immaterial.

Thinking presupposes a thinker. Who that thinker is, is immaterial. Meaning it has no effect on its truth value if the thinker is Ham or Bill Cosby.
